Beautiful peacocks were strutting right beside us, all the while managing to look much more at home than any of us.
Penguins looking so aloof and distinguished in their immaculate tuxedos; fish of all colors, shapes and sizes.
Outside in the heat, there was an evil-looking crocodile that seemed to be resting peacefully on a sun-warmed rock (or was he just a clever imitation?)
What impressed me was a beautiful regal giraffe that was walking back and forth as if he was undecided whether he wanted to stay or go. It sort of reminded me of a young about-to-be father anxiously inside the delivery room cheering away – my darling!
I don't think any of us had ever before seen them so close up and personal. We were told what each one was, their habits and habitats, while the lady held them, one by one, in her hands, allowing each child to gently pet them.
By and large, I would have to see eye to eye that it was our Kid's laughter that chilled up that sunny bright afternoon!
We ended our day with a game of ball!
